Vaerisa’s debut record ‘Heliograph‘ is set to be released through Sony/BFD in April of 2022. Vaerisa has toured the east coast of Canada, and has taken part in festivals and events such as Toronto’s Indie Week, and been featured in Stencil Magazine UK. She is a member of the Toronto-based rock band Vaerisa, which was formed in 2018. Kimberly is passionate about being involved with genres of music outside the realm of classical music. She also performs with the Orchestra of Northern New York and the Middlebury Opera Company of Vermont, as well as the National Academy Orchestra of Canada for their Summer concert series. In Summer 2022, she will be performing with the National Arts Center Orchestra in Ottawa as part of their orchestra mentorship program.
Additionally, she is a substitute violinist for the San Diego Symphony, Canadian Opera Company Orchestra, I Musici de Montréal, and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra. She lives in Thunder Bay, ON with her fiancé Christopher Stork and their four guinea pigs.Īn avid orchestral musician, Kimberly began her contract with the Thunder Bay Symphony in 2021. Percussively grounded in the mid-90's, this track uses Western orchestration techniques (string writing, band instrumentation, Wah guitar lines) with a distinctly Japanese blend (Rock shakuhachi lead, quartal writing, traditional Eastern ornamentation and instruments). This level may not be in your demo today, but that doesn't mean its presence can't be felt in your Kickstarter!
